New Holland NH2 hydrogen powered tractors showcased at COP17
New Holland Agriculture’s NH2 hydrogen powered tractors were showcased in Durban recently at the United Nation’s 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17).
“These new hydrogen powered tractors, which are the world’s first tractors to be powered by hydrogen, have been designed to help farmers cope with the increasing costs of fuel,” says Peter Askew, managing director of New Holland Agriculture South Africa. “These tractors form part of New Holland’s ‘Energy Independent Farm’ concept that enables farmers to produce electricity from natural, environmentally-friendly sources and to then re-use that electricity in a practical way.

New Holland Agriculture has presented Laeveld Tractors with the New Holland 2011 Dealer of the Year award.
“This prestigious award was presented to Laeveld Tractors for outstanding performance and excellent sales in the Lowveld region,” says Peter Askew, managing director of New Holland Agriculture. “One of the most important achievements for Laeveld Tractors is the impressive market share achieved by the company’s three branches in Hectorspruit, Rocky’s Drift and Hoedspruit.

Agri Securitas fund raising - Steve Hofmeyr and Tim Thabethe hikes for fund raising
On 18 February 2011 Steve Hofmeyr and Tim Thabethe hitch hiked from the OFM offices in Bloemfontein to Cape Town in order to raise money for Agri Securitas.
A New Holland T6080 tractor was used to take them from the OFM offices to the N1 to start their journey.

One of our staff members came across these old New Holland models on a beach recently, whilst on holiday in Railay, Thailand.
Bakkies Basson, awarded the certificate for “The Best Braud Technician”
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Bakkies Basson was awarded the certificate for “The Best Braud Technician” outside of Europe, by CNH at the launch of the new Braud Grape Harvester in Italy.
The prize was accepted by Quintus Smit in Bakkies absence.

Ten years on: Buhle Farmers Academy celebrated its 10th birthday on 10 June
Namens al die plase wat vanjaar deelgeneem het aan julle New Holland trekkerinstandhoudings kursus wil ek ‘n spesiale DANKIE oordra aan jou en Isaac en aan New Holland SA.
Meeste plase in die Langkloof fokus daarop om hulle plaaswerkers te bemagtig deur middel van opleiding. Sonder mense soos New Holland SA wat ‘n bydrae maak tot die opleiding kan ons plaaswerkers nie hulle kennis en vermoens in die werkplek verbeter nie.
Ons het dus groot waardering vir die aanbieding van hierdie kursusse.
