Agricultural equipment suppliers Northmec and New Holland South Africa, the agricultural machinery arms of CSE Equipment Company, have been appointed sole distributors of a new sugar cane cutter designed for the efficient and economic semimechani-sation of consistent cane cutting.
“The new Cane Thumper, which has a double-blade cutting system for high harvesting speed and improved cutting performance, is manufactured in Germany to high quality and safety standards. An important advantage of this machine is that it is able to cut lodged cane and can also operate efficiently on steep terrain, up to 55% continuously and 80% intermittently,” CSE Equipment Company CEO Tony Sinclair says.
